915 Trans. #915 301 102 OR what year?

I've got a 915 transmission. Part number near top of case above bell crank is 915 301 102 0R. On the bottom flat flange where the clutch cable hole is there is another part number 734 8901. Was told from previous owner that it came out of a 74 911. Need to know for sure. Thanks Bill

7348901...
"7" = trans for 6 cyl engine/car
"3" = 5-speed
"4" = 1974
"8901" = consecutive build number (are you sure that the "8" is not a zero)?

Next to this number should be a type number, something like "915/06," but this number is ground off frequently.

Hi Pete. Thanks for the imput. Let me take a closer look. Your right there are alot of scratches on this bottom flange and the 8 could be a 0. I'll check again for more numbers as well.

Pete. I checked closer and yes some numbers are definetly worn off. I do know it's an 8 for sure and not a 0. I also know its's definetly a 915 speed and not a sportomatic or earlier 901 tranny. Thanks Bill
