Fixing a balky clock.......
I found several years ago that I could get my clock running again (it had stopped suddenly after a couple years) by simply resetting to the correct time and releasing the the knob. I was pleasantly surprised that this worked! Twice since, same result, and now it has been steadily ticking away for maybe a year...knock on wood.... (picture me tapping my noggin with my knuckles)....or a brick or 30....
Not real technical, but hey..... ![]() |

My clock also sticks and resetting it works. But I fear something is not right internally and resetting it is just a band-aid.

Agreed. I think it's a good idea to actually clean every single electrical terminal/connection in most of our cars. Too much resistance (as in complete) to current is one thing, resisting the need to "get in there" is worse!
![]() Ironically, BandAids come in handy when "getting in there"............or should I say "after being in there"; knuckle busters and such..... ![]() |
