Footwell blowers inop, Bently manual missing wiring diagram ,FIXED!

My footwell blowers stopped working the other day and i am diagnosing the situation now and cant find any wiring diagrams for my car in my Bently manual. I have a 85 carrera without auto heat. All of the wiring diagrams show the auto heat system only, does any one have a wiring diagram for the manual heat system ? Thanks!

Thanks for the links and ideas, guys. This forum is really amazing, there are some really intelligent , helpful people here. It seems i have the "carrera heat backdate syndrome" only my heat isnt backdated yet ( just a bad rear heater blower) I found an incredible thread discussing the all the inner workings of the heater controller and how bypass a glass tube relay inside the unit to allow the footwell blowers to operate w/o the rear blower. 15 min later it works perfectly!

Probably the switch inside the boot with the heater arms/e-brake between the seats.

Manuals

Try this.

Manuals

Also, I think your footwell blowers are activated by the heater
control relay located in the engine compartment.

pm me as needed.

Reed Switch

A while back, someone posted the reason why Porsche requires
the rear blower be operational for footwell blower motor operation.

Unless bypassed, the reed switch which controls the footwell blowers,
closes only when the rear blower is on.

Perhaps someone will chime in.

I think they want pressure to be so that if there is a leak in the heat exchanger the result is air from the blower goes into the exhaust and not the other way around. If the rear blower is drawing a lot of current, pushing air, closing the reed switch , they let the front blowers suck and aid a bit.

Thats a good point Rick. I have been thinking about putting a carbon monoxide detector in the cabin, i guess now is the time.
