Clutch life span?
How long could I expect (on average) for a clutch to last in a 91 Turbo 2?

There are just too many variables to be able to throw out a valid number for you. If I had to pick one I'd say 60K, your mileage may vary
The turbo itself will probably need to be rebuilt or upgraded by then also. Upgrades are a never ending source of joy and bank account tramma.

My 87 Carrera has 79k miles and the original clutch. I think it's still in good shape, but it's just so different from my Bimmer, that I don't know. I've heard anywhere from 75k-100k miles can be expected.

My 62k original clutch disc had a lot more life in it, but Kiwior's (86 Carrera) 60k disc had a few of the rivets rubbed. All depends on the driver. Kiwior's brother used up a Jetta clutch in 18 months! That's because Kenny downshifts through every gear when coming to a stop and never ever matches revs. Probably oughta get himself a slushbox (or a slap in the head).
