Porsche Crest What is it and where do I get one?

Until yesterday I had a small disk with two slots in it on the dash between the climate controls and the steering column. Don't ask me how but it is now gone. I how have a hole in the dash with a rubber tube protruding from it. What is this, and where can I find a replacement? Thanks for your help as I am new to Porsche ownership.

The only thing that would show in a photo is a round hole with a rubber tube attached to it. The tube comes from under the dash a terminates at the disk. As I have lost the disk I can not post a photo of it. I think it may be part of the climate control system as I have the optional heater controls. by the way the car is an 86 Carrera. Thanks for your reply.

it is part of the climate control, mines the same on my '86. it seems to be just the exit for the pipe. purely cosmetic.

don't know about new ones.

i can post a picture if you like, let me know??

old goat - maybe you can help me!!

the pipe connects to a unit under the dash by the ashtray. the unit on mine makes a faint noise all the time, like a motor, does yours???

Richard is correct. It is an air tube for the automatic climate control. Runs from the dash to a fan/controller under the dash. The cap with two slots is the cosmetic piece, probably laying around on the floor somewhere.

Hello

Can be bought as a single unit from Porsche. Think it is also used in 944 and 928.
