Porsche 911 GT2RS Limited Edition

These cars were apparently grabbed up before they even hit the showrooms, the 911 GT2RS Limited Edition. From WSJ blogs HERE:
Talk about fast. With 620 horsepower and a zero-to-60 mph sprint of 3.4 seconds, the new 911 GT2 RS is the fastest and most powerful road car Porsche has ever built. But it also moves off the figurative shelf quickly. Less than two months after its debut, all 500 of the special GT2s are sold out
I was out at Barber yesterday while the Porsche Sport Driving School was having a weekend session, and they had one of these beautiful beasts on the grounds. No, I did not get a ride in it. I'm working on it!!! Just a few shots, taken with my new phone that I'm still trying to figure out:

IMAG0028 IMAG0027

IMAG0026 IMAG0024

IMAG0025 IMAG0023

IMAG0022

That hood crest is a DECAL. Wonder how much weight that saved?

Are these a special edition of the GT2RS or all GT2RS's "limited editions"? Is it only the first 500 that are special?

I believe that all 500 comprise the "LIMITED EDITION" of the 2011 Porsche 911 GT2RS. 133 came to America, and this one is #31/500.

GT2RS no 31

So all the GT2RSs are equal; none are more equal than others. It would be ridiculous for there to be a power package or something for the highest performing Porsche, just after it is released.

Well I watched a Porsche corporate video and the driver of the 911 GT2RS said that the one he was driving was a "club sport" with no AC, super light racing seats with 6 pt harnesses, bolt-in roll cage, and something else I can't recall. I assume this was a trim package, perhaps one of several, in which you could order your GT2RS. So maybe they are not all exactly "equal"

OK, clubsport is a traditional option, I think the GT3RS has that option as well. It has certain things not allowed for the US market, like seats without airbags, more roll cage, Lexan windows, etc.
