Scraping Noise from Steering Wheel

I replaced my stock wheel with a 930S wheel from AJ USA.

There is a scraping noise when I turn the wheel. I applied dielectric grease to the horn contact and wiper. The noise goes away, but returns a month or less afterwards. It's definitely the steering column, and definitely in the wheel.

Anyone have any ideas of what else might be causing this noise and/or eliminating it?

Any thoughts appreciated!

I would honestly try replacing the column bushing. It's a simple pound-it-in replacement that cures most steering wheel ills with rough movement and the like. But if the dielectric grease *really* makes the grinding feel go away....

...try shaping the horn ring contact (the part on the car side, not the wheel contact) to be a little flatter. I did this and it fixed the problem for me.

If you do replace that bushing, don't replace it with another of the lousy plastic ones. There's a metal 928 bushing that is the preferred fix.

I had this problem when I fitted a new wheel. It was the horn contact. I did what old_skul suggested.

Thanks for the suggestions guys - I'll try them this weekend.
