Bob,

Here's the dwell meter I have on hand. (I must have bought it for my dad in the '80s.) It looks like it needs to be connected to positive as well as ground. The directions only show the green wire going to the coil (if I recall). Do you think this will work?

If the O2 relay isn't working, you will have more than just cold start issues. The car will barely run and will sure as hell be backfiring.

Yes - I remember taking power from one of the three fuses inside the plastic cover to the left of the rear engine compartment with my old Sears Penske unit like that.

I don't see a cylinder 4 - 6 - 8 selector but you have three scales. Use the 4 cyl scale unless there is a switch and then switch that to 4.
