John,

There are two (2) sets of wiring harnesses you need to route through. The 2-wire wire harness (shown above) goes under the dash and toward the front fuse panel. The red wire goes to fuse @18 and the red/white wire goes to FP relay @ 30 connection. The main wire harness for the ECU goes toward the engine bay. You need to open up a hole for the harness to get through the firewall. It would be helpful to could find a similar car and look where the hole is located. Keep us posted.

Tony I already ran the rear section of the harness to the engine I also have wiring schematic showing connections at fuse box, what I don't have is another car to see where underdash the two wire harness goes through to the fuse box

John,

A friend gave me his '80 ECU but had to take it off from his car. So I traced and inspected the wire harness and located the terminals. Unhooked them and carefully and gently pulled the harness from inside the car. From the trunk side, locate the rubber grommet that could accommodate additional wires to pass through. There several holes available to get the wires to the front. The rear harness needs more effort than the front harness to install. So I don't see what's the difficulty threading the wires to the fuse section.

I know there are several places to run the wires I was just curious as to how they are originally routed.Does it go through the grommet from the a/c switch or is it routed across and go through behind instruments?

Thanks bruce I know that the red wire gets constant power from the interior light fuse and the red wire goes to the # 30 terminal at FP relay I was hoping someone had their carpet up and could show or tell me where that two wire harness goes into luggage compartment. Thanks guys.
