Every Turbo I have seen or driven had sport seats from the factory. Were they not
standard?

Howdy Chaps,

Lots of early special wishes cars with non vent fenders. This one is a U.S. conversion and here's my post regarding another one similar. Probably about time to trot out my other 20 pics of the shop/this process from back in the day. This one is a mazda headlamp industrial gauge steel conversion - like mine - and exceptionally well turned out compared to many, either done all-in-shop on the West Coast if early one or fenders done later in Illinois by the shop who came to dominate the fab side for the shop performing the mechanical conversion. Ordinarily the outside perimeters of the fenders by the buckets draw up as the metal cools and shrinks leaving a gap to the smile. The fair line along the hood gap is very tough to get right and any problems especially noticeable on one without vents as those vents serve as a visual distraction from any build shortcomings.

I'd have a reputable shop check it out (get a deck lid seal on back), tend to a few (hopefully) likely details needing addressing and assuming a stock unabused engine, just enjoy it without the worry of the burden of being a custodian of a historical artifact.

Close ..... they were not standard but they were a no-cost option starting with the 1985 model year*.
