1978 911sc door glass question
Hi, I'm Erik... Long time lurker, first time poster. This forum has been extremely helpful on several other problems i have had. now for my current problem...
So the drivers door glass came disconnected from the rubber lined channel on the regulator. What must I do to reattach it? Nothing looks broken, and there are no "extra parts" laying in the bottom of the door. I tried searching old posts and had no luck with my specific problem. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! |

Welcome PhillyGuy
To re attach means shoving it back down in there. Only bummer is that the rubber may be too tired to grab the glass or the metal may be too rusted to keep a squeeze on it. I used the black 3M weatherstrip adhesive on both the outside of the rubber and the inside before I slid the glass back in on my 81. Next fix will probably mean a regulator. FYI - If you search on a topic. Sign in and use the advanced search function. It works well. Post a pic of the car. +1 to what Bob posted.
It's pretty simple once you get the door panel off and see how the window glass is held in the channel.
