File this one under more money than brains
English footballer Jermaine Pennant leaves his P-Car at train station for five months!!
Hey, it could have happened to any of us, right? Good thing he now has a Ferrari. Story with link below: By Jim White 7:25PM GMT 20 Jan 2011 The Stoke City winger was contacted by officials from his previous club, Real Zaragoza, about a Porsche that had been abandoned in the car park of a local railway station for five months, accumulating parking tickets in the manner Rafael picks up bookings. When he got the call Pennant was nonplussed. No, he said, the car wasn’t his. Which seemed a little odd as the registration was P33NNT, a plate that gave a significant clue as to the owner’s identity. On hearing that, Pennant then agreed the motor must belong to him, but, in perhaps the ultimate evidence of possessing more money than sense, said the fact he owned £98,000 of German engineering had completely skipped his mind. At least Pennant salvaged something useful from the experience: the personalised plate has been retrieved and is now resplendent on his new Ferrari. Which will be helpful in identifying its owner should he forgetfully leave it at Stoke station in future.
