I want to hear this when you're done!! I'll put my M&K shorties on and we can terrorize traffic on Kingston Pike.

I have a set leftover from my PCA racing days, used on a 2.7 and euro SC engines. I really did not care for sound, and dyno tuning showed that megaphones made a little more power. But that was racing. A center two pipe sport muffler makes a better street sound IMHO.
YMMV

A friend of mine runs these single chamber Flowmaster mufflers (basically just Mustang 5.0 race mufflers) behind his headers on his 2.2 906-type motor in a narrow body track car. His mufflers are 2.5" in and out, and he runs 2.5" tailpipes. On the dyno this setup lost just 5hp to megaphones and was comparable to a factory dual out sport muffler. Personally, I think it sounds crappy at 3,000, but sounds great at 7500. And it really isn't much louder than the M&K 911R muffler on my car at track speeds.
But they're very heavy so you'll need to fabricate up a pretty solid cross brace to attach to the engine. My friend tried a couple of versions using just some cheap stuff from Home Depot and both versions broke pretty quickly. He finally welded up a steel brace that he welded to both of the muffler cases and bolted to the engine where the original muffler support bolts.

Yeah I need to make a bracket still to support them. I have a 80 series on now with heat exchangers and love the sound. I know this is going to sound a ton different. Lucky for me east Tennessee is pretty relaxed on noise issues. IROC, I see your car alot at different events, ill have to try and catch up with you at one of them

you can get a supertrapp disc set-up to weld on the ends and adjust the sound level by the number of discs (or run no discs for track and it will be open). Weighs very little.
