930 back home

Shortly after finishing my engine rebuild in Sept 2010 i was rear ended less than a month later...after many months, the 930 is back in my hands. Many thanks to Kevin, Danny and George at Automotive Innovations and Restorations in Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley.

They did a terrific job and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would highly recommend Kevin's shop for any of your work. My job wound up being a complete re-spray that included all new seals and rubber, new lenses in the back including NOS rear reflector. Up front got new fog lights and updated headlight washers. Interior got a new headliner and NOS sun-visors. A newly cover leather dash was icing on the cake. I had already recovered the seats about a year or so, from Auto's.

Here is the journey in pictures

Wow that is one beautiful car and the colors I would want too. Look like they did a first rate job. Very clean.

Congrats... Sometimes, we question why something has manifested itself into our lives when it seemed at the time that it was completely unnecessary, only to then be able to reckon it was for a reason. You have a beautiful 930 that's been restored, and hopefully will go on for many more years...

I love white cars.....and the rich tan interior is great too. What is the official interior color name?

All of the new replacement parts used were sourced either directly through Pelican or through this board. NOS reflector, rear spoiler, impact strips, sun visors, oil tank, fog lights, were all purchased from listings on Pelican. So many thanks to all that I have bought parts from over the last several months. To answer a few questions, the interior is Cork. I have had the car for almost 17 years and plan on keeping for a long time to come.

This car is truly beautiful and kept my 934 tribute company for a few months at the shop. Very, very nice. I'm so glad to see her back on the road...

WOW!

Steve, FWIW, I think that I have the piece of dash face that covers the section to the left of the steering column. If you get rid of the Clifford, and eliminate the code panel, I would be thrilled, if I can find it, to donate that dash piece to cover where the Clifford control now sits.

The car looks spectacular!

Giving credit where credit is due.

Thanks for the kind words Steve, it was really a pleasure doing the car.
But I really have to give Danny credit for the car. I gave him free reign over the project and he took ownership of it completely. He stepped up his game noticeably and I couldn't be happier with the end result.

The hardest part was telling him he had to return it to you when it was done.
