I was thinking of all of the events we'll all be attending this summer. And a lot of us will be going to the same events.
But, no one knows who’s who. My thought was. How about coming up with a "cling" that you put inside your window glass. That would have the Pelican Logo and your user name. Something fairly small and tasteful. And removable after the event. Put it in the glove box, and put it back on at the next event. Just a thought............ Cling : the same stuff the oil change guys use to tell you when to change your next.

Well Geez, everyone complained how they wanted T-Shirts, and no one is really buying any. I need to sell all of my T-shirts ($7.50 each) before I even think of making hats...

Wayne, be patient. I have my car stored for winter so P car related purchaces are put off for a while. I will make sure to add a shirt or two on a order when my baby's winter nap is over. I would guess many are in the same situation.

Lessons learned
Quote:
I mean, when Leland and I were putting this SCWDP sticker thing together, hundreds of people were e-mailing asking for *not just* stickers...oh no...they wanted (demanded) hats, t-shirts, jackets, window visors, calendars, cat collars......etc. etc. And, "Please hurry...we can't wait!" So we made a few (real nice looking) stickers, to test the water, so to speak. (It was done for fun, with no intent of profit. Just a "break-even" deal.) I saved quite a few of those e-mails. And how many of those same people stepped up to buy *anything*? Bing-O! We *have* sold quite a few stickers, many to people who seem not even to post here (see my post on "lurkers" a while back.) Heck, I just sent a dozen to a guy in S. Africa who stumbled on to my tiny little webpage. Never even heard of the Pelican BBS or our beloved SCWDP Founder. Not to disparage Pelican-heads, as many, many have supported the SCWDP sticker campaign. But I don't see any point in stretching my (financial) luck by making a 1000 t-shirts. So, Wayne, you have my sympathies. Not that those will help your stock of t-shirts move out the door. Chalk it up to lessons learned. ![]()
