Anyone know where this wire goes ?
I found this earth wire behind the panel that has the ignition module and fuses etc mounted to it in the engine bay.It was not connected and looks like it never has been the insulation completely covers the terminal eye lug( pulled back a little in these photos), its a flat woven type earth strap. It disappears up past the engine lid hinge. Every thing electrical works OK on the vehicle.

I believe that's a ground strap for the decklid, goes under one of the hinge bolts. Not sure what the purpose is, maybe radio interference suppression, or a ground for the engine compartment light etc?

It's a big PITA, 5 amp fuse and connected to the clock, interior light and something else....there's a recent thread on this.
My next project is converting all my interior lights to LEDs.
