Is this a GT3?
Found this car this morning. The car has had a paint makeover. The rear has a GT3 emblem on it but I don't think its a real GT3. How can I tell? It's a automatic and is only $24000.
VIN # WPOAA299XXS626538 comes up as a Carrera 4 on google search.

They didnt make gt3's in 99 nor did they make automatics. It is just an automatic 99 C4. May have been wrecked due to the changed bumper cover. There are a ton of them available cheap. Do some looking before you buy anything. JMHO.

Quote:
"It's a automatic" "Carrera 4" "is only $24000" And the windshield says 1999, no GT3 in '99 And it's still overpriced for even a stock 996 Tiptronic car.

I didnt think it was either because of too many hints. I have an 83SC so I'm not in tune with the newer extreme models, just the "work on daily' cars. It does look good but after a little research, I agree, too pricey!

Those headlights did not show up until 02 and the front bumper is later as well. I would look for damage in the front for sure.

Just because someone changed bumpers and lights shouldn't send up signal flares. Folks on here change things all teh time for no reason other than they want a different look. Not to mention "mis-labled" RS's RSR's, etc...
That said, yes, obviously you'd want to know the deets. Carfax. Just my .02 cents

CarreraX and another dude claimed: "They didnt make gt3's in 99"
Actually, Porsche did make GT3's in 1999, but they all had ZZZ VIN and were not imported into the US, at least not by Porsche NA.
