Unusual Fender Flare Question
I am looking at a set of fenders that have been flared. We are uncertain as to the size of the flares. The fenders are off of the car. Any idea how I can confirm if they are 9 in., or if they were fabbed to fit wider wheels?
Thanks |

Here are the flared fenders. They are unusual, as they are early fenders, but with the 74 bowed/vented section. I am inclined to think that they are 9 inch, but that is a guess.

You can certainly fit 9 inch wheels under them. The rears you can get 11 inch wheels.
Those almost look like they were ST profile flares- they seem rounded on the lip. It could just be the photo, though.

That venting is custom, by the way.

They "appear to be" 9 inch flares. The venting of flares was done in 74, when flares were 11/13" inch. 1973 RSR were 9/11 inch flares.
Do they look like 11 inch front flares? Probably not? |

It might just be the pics, but they look like 11s to me. They certainly protrude more than a factory 9" flair...
