Front signal won't work

Having problem tracking problem. Install new turn signal relay but front turn signal, left and right won't work. Rear does, front signal just stays on. Won't flash. Hazard works. Bad ground? but where?
Thanks

R&R bulbs test, clean and install....sounds like a ground or bad bulb.

Make sure the bulbs are EXACTLY the right ones. The bulbs for these cars have oval-shaped contacts, not round contacts (which seems to be the most common one at the FLAPS). Even though you can get the round contact ones to seat securely, it is only the oval-shaped contacts that will work on all the cars.

I was assuming that the bulbs previously worked ......you should check what Angela recommended as well......replacement bulbs, even with wrong contacts may work for awhile.

Tweeking out the contacts with a bent pin tool a bit will re-fresh the tension on those old contacts.

My socket for whatever reason was too wide, accident maybe, gorilla wrench, who the heck knows. I place two rubber O-Rings to insure a snug fit and the bulb not to jiggle or flop around. It was so bad it would burn out my bulb frequently, since I did the mod, no more issues.

Yes, I have the OEM spec Bulbs with the oval solder contacts.

Check the voltage with a DVM to be sure will not hurt.

I am planning on placing HONDA OEM nickle plated 1157 (round solder) per Daniel Stern's recommendation. I will post as soon as I get rest of his goodies

I would assume that the signals weren't working prior to replacing the relay. It takes time, but I would approach this as a maintenance project. I would clean every ground and contact, then cover with dielectric grease prior to reassembly. Make sure the bulbs are OE spec as suggested. Then you can start on the diagnosis. A Bentley lists all ground points.

Electrical components can behave in unpredictable ways if the current has to overcome resistance or has alternate paths. I am not an electrical expert at all, but these basic maintenance tasks are things anyone....like me....can do.
