SC distributor coil resistance value?

Anyone know whats proper spec for one of these?
They're not available new at the moment and would like to know if it's OK.
Getting about 6000 ohms

Should read around 600 ohms. I checked 2 spare pulse coils I have and they read 560 ohms on one and 575 ohms on the other. Maybe your reading .600K ohms on your meter?

These parts are surely available sir..

ECHLIN # MP307, AC DELCO #E1938C

Check it out... It's a $50 part. If it reads ~ 600 ohms then it's good. It's jsut a coil of wire..
