Is 3.2L engine 'buzzing' sound at idle the Mass Air Flow flapper

I've had the annoying buzz for years when sitting at stop lights. It doesn't seem to effect performance. I suspect the Mass Air Flow box because it seems to come from that area on the engine. A new Mass Air Flow meter is a staggering $1000. I don't know if they are serviceable or not.

While at idle, sometimes a tap to the accelerator will stop it momentarily after the RPM rises and falls back to idle. Has anyone else experienced this...and better yet, has anyone ever fixed this type of a problem.

Its a 1984 Carrera stock 3.2L.

with a small pick tool or very small flat screwdriver, remove the spring steel clip that holds the connector for the ICV (idle control valve), and remove said valve. With key on but engine stopped, see if the buzz goes away.

Note the new AAV fittings for one of the hoses is smaller ID, Simply cut a small piece of small hose and place over fitting and place old hose on top and clamp.
