Oil drain valve

Hi
can i install on the 1976 911 the N series fumoto oil drain valve or should i go for the regular one? the N series seems to b easier to drain the oil with as it comes with a nipple for the hose but im afraid the 911's r to low.

Take care, that lever could snag on something and you will have more problems the remove/install of the OEM bolt for oil changes. my 2 cents.

Plus you want to look at the magnet to see if you are getting metal particulates, which shows condition of engine and lubrication.

I forget which Fumo valve I have, but I've used it for many years on the oil tank (not the crankcase, of course). I do remember that it bottomed on the base of the threaded collar, not on the flnage as it's supposed to. I had to carefully hack saw several threads off the collar. The valve is very convenient to use and completely avoids the sudden splash of hot oil that removal of the OEM plug results in.

See what I say here--->

to much oil in engine - what can i do?

oil tank is OK....would not attach to 3.0 or 2.7 engines. It's OK on the 3.2 engines as the location is different and tucked out of the way. I would find one with the nipple if installing on a 3.2 engine case, as you can attach a hose to direct-down.

Magnets IMO are more important in g'boxes. Metal "flakes" in engines can be bearing material, aluminum, copper...too many particles that won't be picked up by magnets. But....OK...magnets can still be good there, just don't think its as good there as thought.
