I need new non-black lub nuts for Fikse wheels.
I want alloy, not steel, and have the options of polished, chromed or satin finish. I know the structural integrety of Fuchs are compromised and are prone to pitting by the chroming process. Do the alloy lugs that are chromed suffer the same fate? Also, since I am moving to 9" in the rear, do I have to put on longer wheel studs? I have heard of a problem supporting a wider wheel with OEM wheel studs but don't know how wide is too wide. Also, does anyone know a source for wheel lock covers that are not in black?

Check with www.wheelenhancement.com for your chrome lug nut question. Personally, I'd avoid chrome and go with a satin finish that matches your wheels.....and of course, black is always elegant....but I'm biased.
You should not need longer studs just because your wheels are wider. The only reason to use longer studs is if you are using spacers to correct for improper offset. As long as your wheels fill the wheel wells appropriately (no rubbing) without spacers, your studs will be fine.

Just be careful not to rub your lub nuts to much.

Well, you could always take a set of new nuts and just polish them. Hose 'em off with Easy Off first to soften the anodizing and paint, and then take them to the grinding wheel brush one by one. They'll look great.

![]() Will I need paint or just pull them out of the box and screw them on? Thanks, Magilla |

Always a good idea to lube your lubnuts prior to screwing. Hate to have em' seize on you when you least expect it. Of course you could always leave em' dry and take your chances....you animal!

You guys are brutal. Mistype a "b" in place of "g" and the thread takes a whole new meaning. Ok, so I can't type.
By the way, my research has shown that PP is the cheapest source around for both lub and lug nuts.

nuts
The angle of the lub nuts is directly proportional to the lust of the thrust provided the urge remains constant
Way OT...sorry
