Highbeam Stalk switch 911SC

OK...Put in the new stalk switch, connected harness connector and wires to ignition switch (which I have left hanging until I solve). It appears I have no low or high beams now! Directional and parking lights are working with the exception of left rear parking light. ANy ideas? Fuses seem intact.

Are you SURE you replaced the wires correctly? I would double check them. Check that you did not accidentally knock a wire off of the ignition switch.

Update

Wires are correct. I did each individually and matched colors. If I pull headlight switch out to first detent, hi & lo beams work fine, no parking lights...pull to second detent, no headlights only parking lights. If I turn the switch shaft, things change. I think the headlight dash switch is bad.

A few questions:

When the key is in the stop position and you pull the flash to pass switch, do your high or low beams come on? Your highs should come on.

While holding the Flash to pass switch, and you pull the headlamp switch out to either position, do the headlights switch to the low beams?

With the key off and you pull the headlamp switch to the first position, which lamps are lit? Your marker lights should be on and your headlamps off.

If you switch the key to the run position (headlamp switch fully out), does anything change? What? Your headlights should come on with your marker lights.

With the switch pulled out and engine running it depends where the stalk is. Switch off, stalk pulled back highs should come on and all lights go off when the stalk is released.

When I replaced my turn signal switch, I ended up damaging my headlight switch when I was reinstalling it. I had similar symtoms as you with the lights not coming. Before you do anything else, I would look at the wiring diagram and check the switch with a multimeter. Make sure it is functioning properly. Then you can start troubleshooting out from there if it is.
