Fiberglass bumper guys, how to get car on a flatbed wrecker?
Thinking about this the other day, how would a tow truck/flatbed driver hook up his/her winch cable with a fiberglass front end and no tow type hook. The other common hook points will rub on the glass and no doubt crack it. So i'm thinking of attaching something at the old bumper shock mount with a removable tow hook through the bumper.

Do a search in the track forum for tow hooks. Many examples.
Yes, you want the strap or tow point mounted to solid chassis.

Pull it on backwards... worked great on mine.
Still needed some 2x8's at the end of the bed to keep from scraping. |

I pack the tools that would allow me to remove my front early S fiberglass bumper. Had to do it once when the fuel pump died. Took just about 15 min to remove the bumper, so the car could be towed.

I can remove the front or rear FG bumpers with the tools in my mobile toolkit. Either bumper can be removed in under 5 minutes.
