I just sent Dan the top off of a 77. It was literally crumbling in my hands when I folded it. It looks like it sat in the sun every day since 1977.

I'm getting the stage 3 resto + new, modified side seals.

Here's what Dan said when I asked him if he got it:

"One of the wort tops I have seen.
I will re new it"

I have no doubt that when it comes back, it will be fantastic.

Well - I'm cheating.

I bought the top off of E-bay for $75. The top that came with my car is currently on my car. It's not in that bad of shape. I may sell it later. But, for now, I have an extra.

Yeah - I'm a hoarder. But - regardless, I was going to have Dan do a Stage 3 restoration. Might as well have him to it to a crap top than one that is in semi-decent condition.

Anyone use Dave Brown out of Boulder, CO? I think that's the other pro that Dan mentions when he says that there are only two people qualified to correctly restore a top.
