915 Transmission Cooler

I've read a lot of contradictory information regarding transmission coolers on 915s.

I have a 1985 stock North American Carrera. Would this car have as standard a transmission cooler?

I've seen information stating years and NA versus ROW, and I've not gotten a clear picture of which cars received the transmission cooler and when they received it from the factory.

Thanks in advance.

not normally,
for 1985 US Carrera & RoW M298(cat equipped) cars came w/ 915/73 w/o the cooler
RoW w/o cat used 915/72 w/ cooler

Bruce Anderson mentioned to me once that he had seen some Texas delivery 911s of that era w/ coolers but it certainly was nothing official as there was a lot of grey market importation in those days.

My 85, which came through Belgium, has a cooler. Not sure of the reasoning, perhaps Porsche believed that with the extra power of the Euro (231 hp), the 915 was needing it. Cheers
