Removed sun-visors

The weather is great this week so I took the car for a nice drive.
What annoyed me where my sun-visors, they blocked the view of the blue sky! When I got home I removed them. Feels like being out in the open again! How many of you Targa drivers removed the sun-visors as well or am I the only one crazy enough....
Ed

We need those visors here in sunny southern CA (U.S.A.). I did, however, remove my rear view mirror; well, actually it fell off and I've kept it off. The visors have a cut-away for the area of the rear view mirror so in one of my future projects I will redo my visors to accommodate the mirror deletion.

I removed only the driver side. Last thing on my long project list is to remove the other one

Do the Targa visors work on Cabs? If so, please consider selling them to me.

Me too!!

I took mine off to get them re-covered over a year ago. Put them on the work bench and went for a drive. They're still on the work bench.

Yes. I'm sure they do.
Sorry, was just having a little fun...
Just kidding, kidrock, of course. Looks to me like you came up with the first offer! I hope you can get a pair; I don't really need any.

Put a limo (5%) or 20% Tint strip across the windshield. I never use visors in any car or truck.

Look at my pictures, the one like my avatar, you can see the tint strip up next to the A pillar.

I removed mine mainly because it provided me a better view of the road. I'm tall enough that the visors, even in the up position, messed up my sight lines.

That's an awesome idea! I am tall as well and they get in my sight line too. Who needs visors -that's what my Costas are for!

Hey! It's his car he can do what he wants!

Good for your Dutch! Now drive her like you stole her

BTW, I remove mine when I AX, DE or Track, I hate it when my helmet hits the visors, very distracting.

I had no driver's side visor when I bought my car. The mirror was off too. Passenger visor was in bad shape. I bought a used set of visors in better condition than mine, but never installed them because I got too used to the visibility without them. I'm tall too.

But there have been times, driving into the sun, that I wish I had the visors... or I wish I had ordered one of those moveable aircraft sunblock things like DIM-IT MOVEABLE VISOR from Aircraft Spruce. I'm sure there are other versions as well.

Although I don't have a targa, I removed my visors when I installed a new headliner 10 years ago and never put them back. I have never really needed them since and maybe it's because I'm 6-4 and sit high in the seat.

I didn't like the visors poking me in the forehead, so I removed them, and sold them.

Maybe this is a tall person issue, I'm 5'8 and my car didn't come with visors. They are low down on the "needs" list but they momentarily jump way up once or twice a week when the setting or rising sun scorches my brain.

And my mirror fell off too, but that bad boy is going back on, my side view mirrors are useless

Could be a clearance thing. I don't sit real tall in the saddle myself, but I do like the visors when it gets to be later in the afternoon; they seem to be "just right" for me in the up position about that time (top off of course).
Additionally, I have my seat pushed back rather far, being more "legs" than torso; so I guess it's a "personal build" thing to some extent. I have never had any feeling of blockage or interference from my visors. I can see how some might.
