Gorgeous car and nice work! I agree with the prior post regarding adding some stone guards to the rear flares.

JJ 911SC or any poster.... I also have a yellow 83 Cab...that I was told was a rare color... how did you find info that your car was #10 production
Nice job Nick and as a Dad really cool that you appreciate a vintage 911 and you took this responsibility at 16-18 yrs. In comparison, last year I gave an 86 coupe with 112k that needed to be restored to my 24 yr old son for college graduation and after dealing with a few months of the inconvenience of getting a 24 yr old car fixed up (things not working and going to mechanic for sorting injectors, fuel mix, buying Fuchs to strip and paint to replace the 91 wheels PO installed etc) He traded it back to me for my 91 M5 with 107k that I have owned for years and is 100% restored and never needs anything but an oil change. Better Daily Driver but not as cool. I am glad to have the 86 coupe back and use it as my daily driver. Since getting the 86 back and needing Cash, I now have my 83 SC yellow Cabriolet and my 83 928 for sale. Last edited by uksailmaker; 03-27-2011 at 08:00 AM.. |

Nice car wish I was your age when I built my car but the state troopers where live already had their hands full without me having a high performance car +1 on the spacers or wider wheels. Need some shots of the motor!

Thank you everyone,
I did get it smogged but that was with the old, worn out motor, i haven't done it with the 84 carrera engine. The paint shop didnt want to put the stone guards on so I will get them soon, I am still torn betweeen clear or black though. Here are some quick motor pics ![]() ![]() |

I've never seen a heater blower motor setup like that before. I'd love to get my hands on some of that heater backdate tin.
