How to tell the difference?

I purchased some steel front 930 flares from a fellow pelican for my project. I was wondering how I could tell if these are the cheap Taiwanese made flares or better German made flares? The flares look to be pretty nice but the stamping around the bottom edges seems to have crumpled the metal more so than forming it. They are galvanized but look to have a light coat of gray primer. They were also plasma cut out as the edge has some slag in some spots. Not that it matters much, I just wanted to know if these are the El-cheapo flares from Taiwan.

Thanks
Mike

Well, if you do not like the quality, then I think you have the answer.

I have nothing to judge the quality by. They look pretty good and I guess once i get them up against my car I will find out how well they fit.

I would expect better responses here..... but from the sounds of it , it seems you didn't get factory parts.

Here they are, Its hard to tell but they feel about the same thickness as the factor rear flares that I cut off some 930 quarters.

They look OK.

At the end of the day regardless of country of origin the end result is more about fit and finish than anything else.

I know, this was kind of a pointless thread as I can make them work. After inspecting the factory 930 flares, I can see that they are not as perfect as I had thought. once you remove the paint and body filler you can see some imperfections in the stamping. This thread was just out of curiosity. hahaha

Those are the front fender flares not rear flares.
