Brembo or Porsche brakes?

I am no mechanic, so this might be a silly question.

I am refinishing out a 81' SC and am about to take on the braking system.
Should I replace the brake calipers with something like Brembo's or should I get the ones I have rebuilt, or does it matter?

I would love to get them rebuilt, but am unsure of the cost and who performs that type of work.

Thanks for your time

your "A" calipers are fine, just new rotors and it is a plug and play system (from PMB)

Are you racing? If not, stock is more than enough.

Like soul brother no. 1 says, your A calipers are fine.

I went with the Bembo kits available from Rennsport Systems in Portland. They are fantastic, but I wouldn't do it again. There are only two 16 Fuchs that clear them and even they require you to take a grinder to your fabulously expensive new calipers to gain enough clearance. Nothing major, just rounding off some corners, but it was depressing none the less. Unless you have plans for 17" wheels, I would seriously consider an alternative.
