Want your opinion on this:

What do you think of the design of this business card: I removed phone number-this is not a "plug", and the logo will be going on my black 911, in the form of a magnet. try and picture it without any white space.

It will also be going on my work trucks, which will also be black.

In my honest opinion there is a little too much dead space. The idea, colors, design are great but maybe it should be more compact from the left to right.

I urge you not to associate you A/C biz with the 911. Potential customers WILL get the wrong msg. We once had a contract with a local cab company to hot shot parts out to the customer's house when the tech didn't have the part on his truck. Well, they also had a couple of limos in their fleet. We alway got a lot of grief from the customer any time the limo pulled up with the part. For example "no wonder you charge such high prices". Little did they know we payed a flat rate whether it was a cab or a limo. Just my 2cents.

I have symmetry issues....4 lines on the left and 3 lines of the right seems unbalanced. And I agree about keeping it off the p-car. It's kinda like how all the real estate agents in SoCal pull up in Benzs....it pisses me off that they are making so frickin' much money.

Percpetion is everything.

I'm uncomfortable with business cards that don't have some kind of address. UBI numbers are nice too. They make people feel safe.

I think the logo is good. Not a "knockout" but good. Perhaps it could be smaller on the business card to make room for more "meat." You see, with radio advertising, you can just shout the business name over and over and over, like a mantra. It kinda works, I guess. But with printed media, you have the capability of providing much more information and much more meaningful information.

How much experience you got? Any special capabilities? Any special service your customers would value? (availability, warranty, quick turnaround, etc)

I don't really care much for the logo, it just seems kind of random and it doesn't really "say" anything. Visually, it isn't that interesting or memorable. Its hard to even tell what the name of the company is.

I've looked at it a few times, and even as I type this I don't recall the name of the company.

I think its good to have a "brick and morter" address on it, too, along with your contractor's license number. Those things give consumers like me some comfort.

Thanks for the input- I needed a fresh, nuetral, and IMO, qualified opinion. There is an address and phone number on there- I just erased it digitally so you all wouldn't think I was trying to promote my company. 2nd- this is a division of my other company:

www.allbrandservice.com

so, mostly customers/clients will be given this card-they already know who we are, 38years in business, local boys, ect. ect.

It is targeted at high level clients that can drop a few thousand for the best possible air quality.

You DID ask for an opinion, right? Call me a 58 years of experience "old fart"...one who recently spent quite a bit getting a new furnace/air conditioning/electrostatic cleaner blah-blah...I looked at the card, and thought "What in the HELL Is an HVACR?" Call me ignorant, one who can't understand all the words today made of capital letters....but I'm also in the age group of your target market..."old farts" who can afford this stuff and who LIKE clean air in their homes. I mean, I've probably, most likely, already bought "HVACR" from one manufacturer or another, and I don't even know what the hell it is!

I did a bit of DTP and graphic design when I was in undergrad- including a few business cards. The logo does look a bit awkward. What stands out to me is that the text/numbers in your logo are in a smaller size than your body text. This is striking (in a negative way) and causes the text to be "lost" in the logo. Upsize it a bit, and use the graphic to make the text stand out more. The "2000" is not meaningfull and the "air corp" is ambiguous; perhaps these lost meaning when you removed your business name.

The color scheme is great- I'd stick with it.

I agree with the above- your clients do not have time to be shown this board and convinced you are an enthusiast- they will view the 911 being associated with your business as in bad taste.

HVACR= heating/ventilating/air conditioning/refrigeration
IAQ= Indoor Air Quality

Name of company= A 2000 Air Corp
We want people to remember....A 2000

Graphics for 911 would be used for track/DE , like a sponsor, figured someone might ask and become interested in our products. Wouldn't put them on for street driving.

If I could figure out how to show you what it looks like on a black background and then get opinions again on the logo that would be great.

I have 4 logos/business cards and this was what I thought was the best so far. Your input has been appreciated-this is why I asked! I , and my staff, are too close to it to see it objectively. let me see if I can show you it on black. Keep the input coming!

So you can write off a track day as a business expense.

Sweet.

While it's a nice thought and lots of people explore this (and some do it) promoting your DE/racing hobby and taking tax deductions for it is not going to fly if you get audited. It's a fantasy for many small business owners, but the reality is that it is just that - a fantasy. A competant accountant will tell you exactly why.

last one for fun

p.s. keep in mind, the images and logos you are seeing are not true in color or clarity- they are pictures I took of a digital proof off of my computer screen, and then messed with on a picture enhancement program. In other words, it looks much better in person.

Okay, I like it better now. The "A-2000" stands out. The luminous blue is good too, hope the real thing is not too toned down.

all monitors show colors differently, but you are correct-the blue is very "luminous" ,vibrant. On my monitor, the card picture looks like a dull, light blue. Not at all like the real color. let me see if I can play with that too.Thanks.
