hello i need help with my 1975 porshe targa i am not getting fuel to my engine i replaced my fuel pump and the engine works fine but is my fuel distirbiter gone bad or is my ground not connected plzzzzzzzz help

Check your fuse for the fuel pump and make sure the pump is properly installed.

i installed the fuel pump and it works and replaced lines but the fuel gets all the way to the distribiter but i dont know if the distribiter works ? or is it something else

You might need to pull the fuel distributor and check to see if the center plunger is working freely. If its not working, try to blow air into the center outlet and blow the plunger out. If that fails, you might try soaking the distributor in WD40 or the like. If there is some of the nose sticking out the bottom, dont drive it up, get a hold of the nose and try pulling it out.
The plunger is the item that meters the gas to the injectors. Bruce |

If the car has been sitting most likely your fuel dizzy is plugged along with injectors.

Dizzy for certain, and do yourself a favor and pull the injectors and clean/replace as well.

while your at it clean the filter at the fuel outlet at the bottom of your tank.

i opened it up it did not look rusty but my teacher says i need a rebuild kit for it where can i get one

You may have a problem. For as long i I can remember, no one has ever idicated that they found a rebuild kit for these things. However, maybe something in this thread may be helpful: CIS fuel distributer cleanout w/pics
Also, I am old, try a search to see if anyone ever did find a kit.
