ruf ctr front air dam okay w/o rear spoiler?
may car was recently struck (luckily at low speed) when parked. i just had the insurance company come out and look at the car and because there was a decent sized gash in the front bumper (which he told me is made from aluminum) that the whole thing would have to be replaced. this, in addition to the crease in the passenger side rear quarter panel and the bruised deck lid should be a substantial bill.
this got me thinking about whether or not it would be similar costs for the RUF ctr front bumper as the factory aluminum one. if the prices are comperable, i would probably consider doing it along with the rear bumper (which i would pay for independently). my car is an 88 carrera w/o a spoiler. i may decide down the road that i want to put a tail on the car, but my question is: is it okay to run the ruf aero kit w/o a tail? i know that there is some talk about maintaining aerodynamic balance on the car and the original ctr had the carrera tail on it. additionally: does anyone have recommendations on where to buy from? any thoughts on the original ruf party being so much more that the MA shaws and better bodies? will i regret buying the cheaper one? anyone running this combo w/o a tail? all pics are appreciated. thanks david benett

You should not have any problems running just the front spoiler, unless you plan to be on the banking at Daytona sometime soon. OTTO

I have a factory front spoiler on my car and no rear spoiler. I wouldn't try the Silver State classic like this, but my car is fine at any speed. Most of my driving in Houston is on the freeway and can run anywhere from 60-100mph. I've also had my car up to top speed, it didn't feel funny until around 135-140mph. Go for it.
