There is another one floating around today:

Subject: "Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs..."
Attachment: "joke.exe"

This one is identified as the WORM_HYBRIS.M virus

Do not run that attachment!! Delete this message and make sure that your virus protection is up to date!

Do not open any e-mail from me Doug and Noelle Martin, as Sean has instructed-My brother has told me it is definetely a virus and a bad one at that. I have not been home to see if I have it or not and have not used my E-mail in a few days, so I have NO IDEA what it is, who it is from, and who it got sent to. I am not very computer savvy, so if it is coming from my e-mail can anyone suggest a way to remove it? How will I know if I have it? I had my wife run an updated virus scan just a minute ago- it showed nothing.

Norton picked it up and handled it. Update your Norton today.

I'd suggest going to Symantec's site or McAfee, depending on your virus software manufacturer (McAfee has a better research section). You'll have to research your symptoms and search for associated files on your computer, as well as entries in your Windows registry. Search for the WORM_HYBRIS.M if you think that's the one.

Virus definitions constantly have to be updated as new viruses are released (I guess you know that). McAfee has pretty good instructions for removing a virus once it's been identified, but it can be a complex process.

For the non-computer savy, Norton's Anti-Virus subscription (yearly) is not a bad deal. You get the latest protection, and removal is automatic (and less painful), plus you get the latest definitions automatically.

No affiliations with either company.

Doug, it looks like it was sent to everyone on your email list. I got it twice. Norton jumped on it right away.
