Rob, I saw your pictures some time ago and really struggled with going with stitching or not.
It was one of the cars that inspired me.

jorijori, I like how your door inserts tie in.

I guess the simple rule for design challenged people would be to do the seats or do the dash, but maybe not both. I'm still on the fence on that but I think I will quit while I am ahead.

Rob, I like your aluminum dash insert, but I am not sure how well that will work on my seat cushions ;-)

Closing the loop on this thread.

As a twist of fate, I bought a set of Recaro Pole Position seats that just happen to have Alcantera centres that match my dash exactly!

So Alcantera in moderation for me = dash, door tops and seat cushions. Everything else is shiny black.

How is the "anti-glare"? Interesting idea though...

Unlike a shiny vinyl or leather surface, I've never seen glare reflect off of a sued type surface
