Giving this a shot myself. If it turns out crappy, I'll be sending $$ your way, Al.

This is rough cut for my oil cooler grill. 68% open space but I'll need to add a couple vertical braces for strength.

I'll use the same type of perf metal Al uses for the engine lid.

Since I had some parts going in to be re-anodized black, I through the perf metal in the pile.

So now I wait.

Should turn out fine, but if it doesn't, I have made a few oil cooler grilles out of perf metal or mesh and I'll be glad to make one for you..... they turned out great!!!.

al

Well, this worked out well, if I do say so myself!

My M491 wide-body with a narrow ducktail.

Any luck finding a 964 as a template? I'd love to have one of these as a insert for the factory spoiler

While I have done 964s with ducks and 993s with ducks and stock, I have yet to make a grille for a stock 964 lid . Contact me ...if you want to be the 1st and act as Beta tester. You will need to supply me with pix and a template and/or dimensional information regarding overall size and mounting method/locations.....and you get a smoking deal for your time.

regards,
al

PS: I have done this with other grilles...993 for example, front cooler grilles...it's relatively easy and has worked well. To give you an idea.....The pic below is a template for a 993 grille that was sent to me.

Al - thanks for the inspiration! I went with a slightly more open perf with smaller holes.
