Any talk about Rennsport Reunion IV???

Has there been any talk about a location for RR IV? It's only a little over a year away so it must be in the planning stages. I know you West Coast folks would like to see it out there.

Please tell me there will be another one....

I've heard Daytona and Road America as potential locations for the next RR. I'm hoping it will be Daytona. Better weather conditions that time of year and closer driving distance from Texas.

The most concurrent rumor that I have heard is that Redman and his Intercontinental Events company are keen to have RRIV at Daytona.
But given the current tumult with Porsche it is uncertain to what degree Porsche AG and PCNA will underwrite the event. It has been discussed that 'IF' Porsche is unable or unwilling to financially contribute as they have in past events that Brian has said the event 'WILL' go forward but on a smaller scale with perhaps increased fees asked of the attendees/competitors.

Maybe this will help your thirst for Porche vintage stuff. DVD will be out in December.

I read somewhere that Daytona was the only place large enough to handle all of the competitors. I attended RRIII & it was fantastic. I hope to attend RRIV (if it happens) in 2010.

As a participant in Rennsport ll + lll, I would love to see the event go back to Daytona because of its ability to handle a large number of cars and the history of the track. Plus it is a blast to drive the banking ...................... Bring it on !!!

I heard that it was off for '10, but at this point it seems to be just unsubstantiated rumor. Hopefully VW will spring for the nut to put on another one.

I spoke w' Brian Redman at Monterey for a few minutes adn asked about RR. He said that Porsche may not be involved, but he is hoping to do something, but perhaps on a smaller scale similar to the original in Lime Rock.

I suggested Mid-Ohio, but I dont think he was too keen on the idea

Lime Rock was nice for RRI, but the Venue needs to be bigger for a RR. Thats why Daytona was good. I've been to all 3 and it is a Porsche overdose in a good way
