Pictures from dunkels

Here are some images I made during my weekend in LA last week. I had a great time and would like to thank Dave Buhain, Curtis A., Cris Huergas and RLJ for their hospitality.

Randy,
Do you have any info on that white/green RS?
I'm about certain that it is the rs that a good friend of mine sold recently. If it is, it should come from Switzerland, and have a chassis number under 200.
I own a '73 RS just like this, except with 300 lbs of rust, waiting for the resto.

Randy, Beautiful photos, as usual from you. I was there for a short while, saw many nice RS clones and real ones + the Abarth Carrera, missed the white/green car, J.C. is that thing gorgeous. Also met Wayne and bought Pelican T-shirt; that was cool and they had a great booth.

George, I spoke to the owner of the white/green RS, and, as I recall, it is originally from Germany and has been with him for about twenty years. He kept it stored there until he could bring it into the US legally. It is an RS Touring, completely original except partial repaint to original color and RS lightweight rear bumper. It has houndstooth sport seats and it's number is around 519, as I recall. I had never seen a green stripe RS in person (only about 20-40 made, depending on who you talk to), and it is a very beautiful car.

Thanks Randy. It looks exactly like the one my friend sold, down to the lwt bumper with the green stripe and the std mirror.
There have been 62 white with green RSs made according to the Gruber/Konradsheim book. I'm glad I have one, for I've seen so many white/blue and white/red, plus a repro is unlikely to be white/green.
BTW for a touring, it should also have the moulding on the front bumper, and the sill trim nuder the doors. Of course it could have been ordered that way.

Randy

Is your third picture of the Emory's (of Parts Obsolete) custom '55 coupe with a 4-cylinder 911 derived engine they are building for a client? Does anyone have any more information on the the car or the engine? They seem to build some incredible one-off outlaw cars from what was once junk. I wonder how they perform with a 220hp 2+ liter 4 in the back.

Thanks
