Targa Top Latch
Anyone ever try to "fix" a Targa Top Latch? There are two hooks on the latch, one of mine is not moving. When i try to remove the top, I turn the handle 90 degrees - then, turn it a little more against a spring pressure and the hook that is supposed to move at that point doesn't - hard to get the top off when that latch doesn't get out of the way.
Anyhow - took the latch off and it certainly does not look servicable. Any thoughts? ![]()

There should be a spring acutator on the first hook, sounds like yours may have broken or jumped off, can you peak inside with tear it apart?

The spring seems to be working find. The bar that moves the hook does not seem to engage when I turn the handle. Can't see into that section. I imagine it is a cam on the shaft that the handle turns that should push the bar which should push the hook against the spring. So I think the problem is between the shaft/cam and the bar.

Contact Dan P and CarsincNJ.com he has used component for a Targa Babies.
I would open it and find the culprit since it appears to be toast anyways, maybe you can post a tutorial on a fix ![]()
