Coil-Over conversion for 930

I notice that AJ-USA has a complete coil-over kit for torsion-bar 930 models. Has anybody tried one of these babies, or a similar conversion? What did you think? How does it ride, street and track?

Hi Bruce:

I would offer that installing a coilover kit and removing the torsion bars is a very bad idea unless you install a full roll cage that ties/triangulates all of the suspension points together.

Severe chassis cracking over time is the result, unless you have a cage in a coilover-equipped 911. Save that stuff for race cars and simply install 22/31mm torsion bars, Bilstein HD and Sport shocks with a pair of Smart Product swaybars. Together with a strut brace, this makes a huge difference.

contact Stephen at www.imagineauto.com I know he modified the suspension of the yellow slant nose with coil overs and tt brakes. Also pass on congrats as his second son was born on Monday.

PS, I did the set up mentioned above. 22 and 30mm Tbars with 19mm adj. sways. Mild understeer but that is with 205's and 245's. Just went to 225's on front
