993 Tip starter in '71 911
I've found reference to some folks using a 993 tiptronic starter in earlier 911's. But, "seeems" most are using with a 915.
Can anyone confirm if this starter will work on a '71 with a 901? I'm sick of replacing my high-torque starter just after the warranty... Thanks, Skip

The Bosch SR68X is the 1.5 hp starter that was used in the 901 and 915 trans. They don't make new ones any more, they are all remans.
Pelican sells a new hi torque aftermarket unit that has good reviews.
