Question changing from boge to koni struts

I have a 69 911t which has boge struts on the front. I would like to firm up the ride, and since my existing shocks are of questionable age, I am wanting to swap themout for a set of koni's. Are there any problems with doing this? Are ther any modifications I will need to make? I've already run a search but no one addresses this year of 911.
Thanks in advance.

you may want to consider replacing your ball-joints, rebuilding your calipers, replacing rubber brake lines, and installing Turbo tie-rods at the same time.

I usually recommend removing the struts from the car, and cleaning and re-painting them before installing the new inserts. A special tool may be need to be fabricated to install the Koni cap nut ... Haynes has a diagram, but I am not sure if it is needed with Boge struts.
