The dwell meter I have has readings for 4, 6 and 8 cylinder cars. I would assume that for the 911 flat 6 cyl I would use the 6 cyl readings for verifying points gap. The reason I'm asking is because on a couple of the posts I have seen people refer to using the 4 cyl readings on the dwell meter. Also, can anyone tell me how to determine and adjust the fuel/air mixture in a 1976 911s CIS. Is there an adjustment screw which is accessible? There is a tech article in this board which discusses using the dwell meter for determining fuel/air mixture for the 911 SC. Is this possible for the 911s. I would appreciate any insights. Thanks

You want the dwell meter on the 6 cyl. scale. The 4 cyl scale was utilized for checking the dwell of the frequency valve on O2 sensor equipped SC's.
Since yours doesn't have a feed-back system, the only way to set the mixture is with an exhaust gas analyzer.
