Brand New Plastic Headlight Rim Inserts
I ordered new plastic headlight rims that fit inside the metal painted outer rim from the dealer.My old ones looked yellow and faded.I opened the new ones tonight and they are gray in color.The part # is 911 631 133 01 . My car is an 1985 Targa.My question is did they come gray on the car when new.I have only seen old faded yellow looking on any cars I have seen them when they were new 25 years ago..Is the gray the original or are these updated parts that are not NOS.

it is supposed to be gray in color. Over time the sun bleached them white

Great,I new they got faded over time but I thought they might have started out white.

I have seen them both ways ... not sure if the grey ones are a repop but if they have the correct part number one would assume they are correct .........
