Jobs working on Porsches in Florida?
I'm gonna be in Florida on May 28th through June 25th. I may possibly be looking for a house there. Anyone know where I might could apply for a job working with Porsches. I currently own my own shop.
Thanks, Justin |

Other than the leads found here for Florida, I would google map search local porsche shops in a certain zip code. Then I would map out a course to visit as many of them as I could and do a face to face with a manager if possible. That is what I did all by myself. Ended up working at a local race shop and an ALMS team while I was in grad school.

Justin, try Braman Porsche in Palm Beach or Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach as far as a dealership.

Justin,
Florida is a HUGE state. It would be helpful if you could specify what area you're interested in. Suggesting shops in the Palm Beaches isn't going to help you if you're looking for a house in Orlando or Tampa. Conversely, if you're basing your move solely on where there are Porsche shops where you might find work, then I'd focus on Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties on the east coast, Tampa, Naples, and Ft. Myers on the west coast, and Orlando in the middle. All of those areas are populated enough to have a few shops to choose from. Good luck! Jason

Justin,
You seem to have reasonably diverse knowledge for early cars (944, 928 and your new ’70 911T). Exploit that knowledge for your new employment. Include your other experience. There are lots of very professional shops that can use (and promote) your experience and knowledge. I’ll implore you to pick the ‘right’ shop and help them be the most ‘professional’ as you know. The Pelican Forum can help you and your new employer. Best, Grady

I own a (sorta) empty shop in Ft. Lauderdale with a lift and A/C. If you're looking to start-up a (small) repair shop, you're free to stop by and check it out.
