Looking for a nice Cabriolet? Ebay!

Ok, it is mine, but really is a nice Cab. I found a 930 that I really want.... so just feeling the water. I am not sure what my car is worth, but I am sure as to what I have into her- and am also sure that if the market will not pay what it takes to do an even trade on the 930, I'll just keep my Cab. But if you guys know of anyone looking for a really sweet car, this one may fit the bill.... Thanks!

Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again.

You have a beautiful car.

I got one of those wierd feelings in my chest when I look at those pictures.......

I honestly don't think you'll get any bites over $30K.
But who knows. You might have better luck with the PANO classifieds crowd.

...man, nice car.

Now THAT is the way a Porsche should be presented on eBay!

Beautiful car. What could you possibly want with more horsepower ;>

I should have said that even though I do not have the $30K+ that you are looking for. This would be one of the ONLY cars I've ever seen on Ebay (or online for that matter) that I would consider buying "sight unseen".

Again, beautiful car.

Maybe that car is just TOO good!

Best cab I've seen, mine looks like a skip in comparison.
Looks like there is some stiff competition for $30k sports cars. Guess most enthusiasts already have their baby.

Maybe try a non-porche publication, you could bring a new member to our world.

Good luck

Sean,

What a beautiful car! Nice records and facts as well. (As an aside, you suppose the previous owners mind having their names up on eBay like that? Maybe just the first name and last name initial?)

Anyway, if you end up keeping it, those small chips in the rear fender can disappear easily. I did some chip repair on my 87 - found a paint shop to make up factory spec two step paint (base and clear), I followed *mostly* the directions from Car Car Specialities and, the results are hard to find. Some are completely invisible. Let me know if you want more details.

Good luck on finding the right buyer. I agree with Leland that Pano classifieds might work better. Don't know if you are active with your local PCA chapter - they might have a newsletter, better yet, bring the car to their breakfast meeting.

Beautiful car! I'm going to have to wash mine today!

Don

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Leland- I did try to paint an accurate picture. I really can't see how someone would buy a car sight-unseen with a 3 sentence description.

Thumbs up

Great looking car and great colour too Just to my taste.

Looks like artic silver although it might not be.

What are the red levers between the seats? Are they part of the aircondition system?

Mikkel,
You must have the Automatic Climate Control on your car. The red levers control the heat. Up=on, down = off. It'd be hard for the cab's to have ACC because of all the fresh air they get (lucky bastards)!
... and yes, it sure is a beautiful car.

I've never seen a garage that clean!! Nice car, but if you get the 930, you'll forget all about it the first time you floor it in second, shift to third - foot still on the floor - then realize that you still have another gear. I have an '88 930. I've put some $$ into it to make it go faster, but don't regret it for a second. I love this car.

Nice car.
Because I own a guards red twin version I know...

And the records...WOW !!! Very impressive...

PCA just last week issued me a "Valuation Form" on my 1987 911 Carrera Cabriolet.
They claim the average price is $31910.00 and this was derived from 35 data points (sales) in the past 8 months.

I was happy to see that, as I paid about that in CDN funds 5 yrs ago.
