Smoke after engine shut down!!!
The problem just started, when I shut the engine down I can hear leaking oil hitting the right rear heat exchanger causing smoke to come out of the oil fill tube vent filter. Is this a leak from the oil cooler? The set-up is a 83-3.2liter with 46mm PMO carbs. Checked no leaks from the top of motor. Help thanx Feisal

Could be many things like valve cover, cooler or oil pressure switch on top of the motor.

If no leak on top then possibly the oil cooler, o-ring. Check if you see sweating of oil up there.

I had oil burning after my shut downs as well. In my case, I found oil was being forced out of my intake pipe and was dripping down onto my passenger side exhaust manifold. It was very hard to see this because the pipes and wires on the topside of the engine hid the trail of oil.
If you find oil inside your intake and drips on the outside of your manifold this "may" be the cause. If this is the case, keep in mind there are many possible reasons why oil will leak out of your intake. A bad thermostat is one reason.

when that happened to me it was the triangle of leaks or whatever they call that. i replaced the thermostat gasket, breather housing gasket and the pressure sensor and it was gone.
