ebaymotors.com is a good source for decent pictures. Choose 911s then sort on oldest ones first to skip all of the newer models.

I don't think the tips have ever been exotic through 89 on normal street cars.

Also the pet parts pdf diagrams have pretty good drawings in them if you blow the picture up some. They can be found in the new parts catalog tab and off to the left the "Try our new parts diagrams" link will take you to the porsche site and you choose the pdf you want. Wait a bit for it to load and then drill down into it - probably in the engine section.

Bob, thanks for the reply. actually I am looking for the difference in the angle or bend in the muffler tip. The 74 and later had a different angle to fit under the larger bumpers, Jerry

I don't know if you are talking about the actual extension coming off the muffler, or the chrome tip.
If you mean the chrome tip, the real difference is the rolled edge on the repro versus the square edge of the original.
If you want an EXCELLENT repro, contact Eric Linden @
Parts Page 1 - Auto Foreign Services

I have one of his tips and it is exactly like my original.

Cheers

I had a post 74 muffler and heat exchangers on my 70 T and the angle of the extension coming off of the muffler definitely angled down when installed, by about 20 degrees. I upgraded to SSI plus had another Bischoff muffler and the extension (pipe) went back to the correct angle. I might be able to get a pict of the post 74 vs. the original if you would like. Steve

Actually looking for the difference in the angle of the pipe coming out of the muffler body. The 74 has a greater bend or angle downward to clear the larger bumper. Thanks Jerry
