Should I grease the clutch "omega" spring?
My omega or horse shoe spring broke the other day. I just received the new one and was wondering if there should be any grease on it..? Isn't there a tiny bit of movement between the spring "leafs" (I dont' think that is a word..)? - Should there be little bit of grease there or does it just go on dry?
Thanks..

The manual only mentions greasing the pivot points. I put some heavy oil on mine and wiped it down with a rag. I didn't want too much on it for dirt to cling to.
I think it is more important to remove the 2 arms and clean and grease the shaft and arm bore so the large arm pivots smoothly.

+1 what Ed stated.
After a long drive especially thru the canyons with allot of road dirt, you will notice the pivot points will need to be cleaned and greased again. The tell tale signs would be a rough/gritty clutch throw. I found it best to have a helper press the clutch as you clean and lube, you can better see exactly where on the pivot point on the Omega spring needs the grease. RSD!

I have always greased mine but it lives in a very harsh environment that it's probably a waste of time. Get the pivot points clean an lightly lube.
